Making Time to Get Better
===
[00:00:00] What's up folks? Just curious. Um, do you have getting better on your schedule today? Is that on your list of things to do?
Now this is coming up because I am, I'm thinking about the clients I have who are just a little too busy, right? They, have their morning routine. And they're up all night. They're, watching the Rachel Maddow or the Fox News and, they're doing the shopping during the day and they, I sometimes they just forget, right?
They just don't have the time or didn't carve the time out to do exactly what they needed to do. And. It makes me think of, of my, of my daughters, the, my twin girls, because they're on a tight [00:01:00] schedule. I mean, I, I know what time to wake them up in the morning when they start eating, uh, solid foods, after the bottle.
Uh, went to even like start preparing them, to get ready for the nap, for the bath, uh, play time and what that looks like. You know, these programs, that I have for my son, coloring books or arts and craft. Like these things are planned and when I'm not sticking to that plan, when they're not sticking to that plan.
The professionals call it, uh, they, they say that the kids are dysregulated. Now, if you've never seen this, the kids are a little more, um, labile. they, they can cry a little bit more. they could throw themselves down. They, they get easily, more easily irritated. [00:02:00] And I've seen this happen with, with my clients, not, they're not throwing themselves down, uh, but the hips, they're, they're crying out for attention.
The back is, is stiff and, and croaking. Right. The, the knees, they're, they're clicking and cracking and they're, they're, they're, they're trying to get your attention. They're trying to tell you something. They're trying to communicate with you the same way that my kids do when, when they're off schedule.
Now what your body is saying is, Hey, I, um, if you have a moment, could, could you stretch me? Um, whenever you get a second, can, can you do those exercises? Brando prescribed. And because we're so busy, because we're keeping ourselves so busy, and I, I want this for you, I [00:03:00] want you to, uh, be, with your, with your grandchildren or with your family and out shopping and, and doing all the things that, that you need to do.
I want that for you. I think in order to maintain that, to maintain being able to do that without pain, without stiffness, without anything hindering you from doing that, you are going to need to carve out some time
to invest in yourself in doing these stretches and exercises, and that time I believe should be consistent. So that you know exactly what you're doing tomorrow, so that the exercises that you're supposed to do today, don't get put off till tomorrow.[00:04:00]
Uh, this is important because I, I know how busy a life can get. Things come up. I understand that, but when we're working together, you've agreed to coming to the appointment on time, you've agreed to being here, a specific, uh, time. Right? You, you're gonna be here for about 40 minutes to an hour and you know, during that time you will be working.
Now I do believe that I'm special and I deserve a special treatment. But what about you? Because I'm not in pain. I'm not complaining of any stiffness.
And if you're listening, if you're having trouble [00:05:00] finding time, making time to put your knee first, to put your back first, uh, I invite you to. Take the first step. Take a put your foot first and, and book a good consult with me because this has to change.
I wholeheartedly believe that if you are not using your time to get better, then you will. In some way, shape or form, start the slide backward.
So I'll leave you guys with that. Be sure that you're getting the most outta your time, so make time to get better. I'll see you on the next one.
