1% Better: Movement for Athletes
===
Speaker: [00:00:00] You are not Katie Ledecky.
I had this patient who wanted to be a very strong, competitive swimmer. The the problem that she had was that she sat in front of a computer desk for about six to seven hours each day.
By comparison, Katie Ledecky is not sitting anywhere for that great period of time,
at least not consistently. Now, this patient, she wants this very athletic and physical body, yet this patient. It is not doing all that she can to get that very athletic and physical [00:01:00] body.
These professional athletes are working around the clock to find a way to get just 1% better.
For someone like my patient standing up one to two more times a day can make her get 10 to 15% better.
The goalpost has been moved to accommodate what you're putting your body through each day.
Folks, if you want that athletic body, you are going to have to work for it. And not just during the times that you meet with [00:02:00] me, because that is a very small window. You need to be around the clock seeking, finding ways to get better. That's how we improve.
Also, you are just not Katie Ledecky, so find a way to become a better you.
If you are struggling and finding a way, please head on over to kinesmovement.com and I can help you with that. Until then. Take ownership of your movement. Do more, wait less,
